Message from the 150th Chair
Human beings don't get to celebrate 150 years -- neither do most corporations or organizations. So it's a distinct honour to be able to preside over the 150th anniversary celebrations of the Ontario Veterinary College.
From the four-year symposium series that started in 2009, to the books we will publish in 2012 to the events, exhibits and displays --- there is certainly something for everyone to enjoy.
I encourage you to contribute to this website -- tell us about your experiences with your pets, tell us about the time you spent at OVC, tell us what you think veterinary medicine might look like in the next century. We want to hear from you!
Many people have contributed countless hours to make this celebration a reality -- if I start to thank people I will surely miss someone. But I do want to call attention to Tara O'Brien, project manager for the 150th. Without her dedication, skills and expertise, this 'party' would not have gotten off the ground. Thank you Tara -- and everyone else -- who has and will continue to join us in celebrating 150 years of veterinary medicine in Ontario, Canada and the world.
